Next R/C Super Saturday Race Day - March 14th!
Racing Rules and Guidelines
Racing will occur on Thursday nights starting at 6 PM. Drivers are advised to be there early to prepare your car and charge your batteries. Races for the Remote Control Racing League (RCRL) will run prior to any "open" race.
RCRL teams will place one team member in their choice of these classes:
Class Name Suggested Age Approximate Skill
Pee Wee 5-7 (will run on oval track) Beginning youngster
Sportsman 7-11 (May run on oval track) Beginner
Novice 7-11
Amateur 10-13 Intermediate
Rookie 10-13
Pro 13 + Advanced
Teams may place members in whatever class they think fits that driver’s experience level. Only one driver per team may enter a class. Participants dominating a class will be moved up to a more competitive class. Teams will be scored on their 4 best finishes of the night.
Qualifiers will run first in all classes, followed by main. Overall placing will be based upon your finish in the main. Qualifiers will last 5 minutes and main will last between 5 and 8 minutes at the discretion of the race coordinator. After time expires cars will finish current lap. Cars being driven recklessly will be stopped and qualify for or placed in the rear positions. Qualifiers will determine starting position for the main. Each heat will be followed by a five minute break to complete any maintenance. Teams may request another five minutes if they notify the race coordinator three minutes prior to the start of the next race.
Lapped cars should yield to race leaders.
Drivers will be required to turn marshal race immediately following their race. Turn marshals should proceed cautiously to avoid wrecking other cars, and will marshal all cars, not just their team's car.
Drivers shouting at turn marshals will be docked a lap.
Drivers must remain on drivers stand.
All cars will display colored sponsor flag for scoring purposes.
Inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated. Race coordinator will ask those misbehaving to leave. If a participant is asked to leave twice, they will not be allowed to return during that season.
Race coordinator reserves the right to adjust race order and these guidelines to fit the situation.
RCRL teams will accumulate points based upon their 4 best finishes of the night. If only 4 team members race, these races will be counted, if 6 race, the two lowest finishes will be dropped. Team awards will be given at the end of the RCRL season.
Open Races:
Open race qualifiers and mains will follow RCRL races on Thursday evenings.
$5 entry fee per class.
Classes will be divided based on entries. All vehicles are eligible to race (electric, nitro etc.). No age minimum or maximum. RCRL owned cars are not eligible to race in open classes.
