The league is an opportunity for youth to be involved in a fun, exciting activity while learning responsibility, accountability and being a part of a team.

Youth will be placed on a racing team and supplied with a car and all necessary equipment thanks to the generous support of local sponsors.

Session 2 will occur at the indoor arena on the Platte County Fairgrounds from December 1st through December 17th

Tuesday evenings will be for open practice and car maintenance and Thursday evenings will be race night generally occurring from 6 – 8 PM.

All school age youth are eligible to participant and youth will be placed in appropriate racing divisions depending upon age and ability.

Participants will be held responsible for their conduct at all times and privileges will be revoked if needed.

A few things that will be different about this year from last year:

·         The RCRL will be an organized 4-H club.  This means participants will need to complete a 4-H enrollment form and pay $5 to join 4-H.

·      ·         A $10 participation fee will help cover costs of car repairs.  Arrangements can be made for hardship circumstances.

We are also in need of adult leaders to help teams and be overall leaders for the program.

We will be holding an information session on January 13th and 15th from 5 to 8 PM in the indoor arena on the fairgrounds for interested youth and parents to learn more about the league.  You don't need to come for the entire time, just stop by when convenient during those times.  Perspective participants will be able to pick up applications, visit with board members, ask questions, see a example track, watch cars run and get excited to participate in the league.  Sponsors can also attend to learn more about sponsoring a race team.
